Download the File Convertor add-in installer from here.Shut down all sessions of ArtCAM currently running on your computer. Please also note that this Toolbox add-in cannot be used for batch converting ArtCAM Project files (*.3dp). Please ensure that you create a backup of your ArtCAM Model files (*.art) prior to using this Toolbox add-in. The Development team have created a Toolbox add-in for ArtCAM Insignia/Pro/JewelSmith 2015 R2 for batch converting legacy ArtCAM Model files (*.art) to ensure their compatibility with the Autodesk ArtCAM 2017 product range. We have about 5000 files that need to be converted ? Please feel free to let me know how horribly I am overlooking something, or offer what insight you may have.Do you have a conversion piece that you can use to select all of the old files and bring them up to date, or do you have to open every file one at a time in 2015 and save to be able to use 2017. But when I get a large logo and every letter has this same problem, I'm not truly interested in fixing it, node by node. And can amend simple vectors/issues with nodes. I understand the join/close vectors functions. When I get all of my vectors in place and try to run a simple profiling pass I get that dreaded SVG(which isn't accepted by ArtCam for some reason), or simply an image(yes I'm able to run an image trace - still I occasionally run into issues with even this) Often though, I'm provided an illustrator file, or.

The native AutoDesk creations work just fine. perhaps the developers assume people have moved on to more current machines that don't require such a thing?Īnyway, I've carved successfully a great number of pieces now with this machine/ArtCam, however I'm still a little hazy on the best way to work with non-AutoCAD files I'm being provided.

Not sure why there isn't some form of a Spooler in 2018.

Funny enough, I had to install ArtCam 2015(found in a previous post) in able to access ArtSpool, which spools my gerber code. Therefore, I thought somebody who has been on here longer may be gracious enough to help me out.Įxtra info - I'm running an Gerber 408(it's an oldy) driven by ArtCam 2018. I've done some digging through previous post regarding this problem, and while I've found similar issues to my own, and adjusted my settings to what was recommended, accordingly. I'm new to the autodesk community, and fairly new to ArtCam(made the jump from Vectric products) so please bare with me.
